We hosted a successful safety workshop with New Harvest in Chicago as part of our Cultured Meat Safety Initiative (CMSI) in June 2025!

Here are some key topics that were discussed throughout the day:

🥩 The use of scaffolds and potential implications for safety testing and regulatory approval.
🔎 The need for public safety research and transparency.
📓 The development of shared resources and frameworks for safety assessment.

Thank you to Perkins Coie for hosting us, and Clever Carnivore for allowing our participants to taste their bratwurst in a controlled setting.

A report from the workshop will come soon. In the meantime, check out our newsletter linked here or more details about our workshop and what’s coming next!
